I have learned by viewing Ruthie Kalbfleisch's website, that the Memorial Coliseum played a vital role in Corpus Christi's "pop" industry as well as a sentimental place to the generations affected by its destruction. I loved Ruthie's focus and organization, I thought that her topic was a tough one, but her research findings were conclusive and her website looked fantastic!
I have learned that World War I deeply impacted Corpus Christi primarily by it's agriculture industry. Many young men registered and it helped Hispanics gain more attention to their struggles as a culture in America. I also found out that many women volunteered for the Red Cross.
